There are also other alternative pimple treatments which you can include
in your daily pimple-removal routine. You can try them when the usual
treatments don’t work, for as mentioned earlier, not all treatments work
the same on different skin types.

- Masking. A good alternative to spot treatments is by
wearing a sulfur mask. Sulfur is also effective in unclogging the
pores and reducing pimple swelling. Sulfur masks are available in
the drugstore and are relatively affordable. You can wear this mask
overnight to achieve superb results, or just let it stay on your
face for a few minutes before rinsing it off. Be sure to follow the
instructions of the mask, so you can achieve the best results.
- Ice wash. Washing your face with iced water or rubbing an
ice cube to blemishes is also effective in getting rid of pimples.
The cold temperature can actually release the excess oils and relax
the pores. Washing your face with ice cubes also makes your face
look more fresh and relaxed, especially when you have no time to
freshen up in between hectic schedules.
-
Zap treatment. Your dermatologist usually has a zap
machine to instantly remove the blemishes on your face. This machine
is designed to kill bacteria using high frequency current. You can
also get your own zap device, called Zeno, if you don’t have the
time to go to your dermatologist. This device works the same way as
the one the derma has, except that it is handheld and battery
operated.
- Check out herbal/homeopathic treatments. The use of
organic materials such as herbs like rosehip and witch hazel can
help regulate the oils and are mild on the skin, while citrus fruits
are effective exfoliants which get rid of dead skin.
